In baseball, who are your favorite players from other teams, or ones you wish WOULD be Diamondbacks? Oh, and when compiling this list, try to keep ex-Diamondbacks off the list.

Here's a few of mine.

Corey Hart

-- My father is dating his mother. My father will disown me if I say something else.. Next question...

Jason Bay

-- I guess you could say, from being there summers visiting my mother, to living in the Pittsburgh Area for a few years, to hosting my own radio show and board operating hundreds of Pirates games per year on a local radio station back in PA, where 90 percent of my calls were Pirates and all things Pittsburgh related, I've got some affinity for the Bucs. Granted, it's not what I have for the Diamondbacks, not even close. However, following them with a blind eye, I've always enjoyed the hustle and the overall ability of Jason Bay.

It's kind of funny, I actually remember doing the radio show and getting word passed down that the Pirates had traded Brian Giles, who at the moment was Pittsburgh's best player, and getting a sporatic, but high end potential guy in Oliver Perez and some guy named Bay for him. I reported on the air, that the Pirates had just been part of a fleecing and this deal would burn someone (meaning the Pirates) down the road. Little did I know, my prediction would be 50 percent right, however it was the PADRES who got the short end of the deal.

Hey, I'm not perfect.. Nor do I play a perfect person on message boards, TV or the radio...

David Eckstein

-- How the hell can you NOT like this guy? He's the perfect example of someone making up for their lack of physical tools by working hard and showing complete dedication.

Forget baseball, there aren't enough ATHLETES now a days who live by that standard. Eck is one of them.

Chris Duffy

-- As mentioned, I lived in Pirate Country for a few years. The town I actually lived in has a minor league baseball team, the Altoona Curve, who are the minor league affiliates of the Pirates.

Anyhow, I met Duffy there, waiting for autographs with my daughter after the game. Not only was Duffy complient with the autograph request, he shot the bull with me for over half an hour, gave Taylor a baseball and the batting gloves he wore the day of that game, and took Taylor for a walk around the field telling her about baseball. He's truly one of the classiest people I've ever met in sports. Truly a good guy.

Chase Utley

-- Can't help but saying I appreciate the dirtballs.. Especially ones who play for the Phillies, the team I grew up rooting for and supporting.

Utley reminds me a LOT of how Larry Bowa used to roam the middle IF for the Phils back in the day.. Hard nosed, dedicated and never takes a day off. In terms of at the plate, in my opinion he's BETTER than Bowa was, and a guy that you just can't help but appreciate and support.

Soriano and Miguel Tejada. Soriano just owns, and I like Tejada's attitude and work ethic. He reminds me of a Dominican version of Eric Byrnes.
