I hate being negative but this 2nd day has been horrible. We passed on Avirl. Reached on a DE and then in the 5th drafted a guy who could of been a UDFA when we could of drafted Durant Brooks or Erin Henderson OLB. I just hope that we pick some solid players in rounds 6 and 7.

Why?

The draft isn't over.

Then we have to wait YEARS (not days, not weeks, not months) to learn about what the Cardinals have drafted.

You're smacking the panic button for no good reason.

In the past our late round selection usually look great because they are high ranked players according to the "experts", they usually end up sucking. Maybe this strategy will work better.

cleveland.....lol. but we'll see. cleveland sacrificed their picks for other things. I think picks are important regardless of who you have on your team.

How are we in the discussion?

We drafted 3 very good players in rounds 1-3.. the 4th round pick wasnt too good.. and the RB we took looks pretty good if u watch his tape.. and alot of people thought he was a real sleeper RB..

what about the titans? are they going to ever get a young WR and try to develop him? or for that manner pick up a top notch one in FA? they keep going for RB's. why didn't they trade up or trade down in the first? If I were them I would of traded out and picked up one of those big WR's in the 2nd. speak of the devil the HC is on NFLN at the moment. says they were pretty set on johnson or felix jones. I guess good on em' if johnson turns out.

How can we say who had a good or bad draft? Let's wait until the cuts are made and the pre-season is out of the way, then decide.

My God, our 1st 3 picks have 1st round talent!!!
that's always good. We all know the first round is all about hype. it......like every other round is a crap shoot. the biggest thing is knowing your current team and knowing the players that are available and how they fit. and then knowing the value of a player. don't pick a guy in the 2nd round who will be available in the 5th or 6th round. quincy carter is a perfect example of this.

Last year I was all amped about our draft, and we had an 8-8 year..

This year, I thought we sucked, made all the wrong choices and there is no one I'm even remotely happy about, but I still trust the Cards staff to know better then I do. I'm going to keep an open mind and remember how many times I have been wrong before.

GO CARDINALS BABY!!

Yup to early.

It is never to early to have an opinion and be upset. I have us at a C- draft at the moment and do not see how that can change.

Dallas is looking very good for a team that already won 13 games last year. They have a big time return guy in Felix Jones who will be a good backup runner. If their meathead CB get approval to play he is potential all pro who they got for basically nothing.

KC has done the best according the ESPN.

Hate giving grades for a draft. IMO Cards had a solid draft but will really know how it works out 3 years from now.

Agreed. It's ok to say if a person likes the pick, but assuming success or failure doesn't actually help does it?

I love this draft. Seven football players who will help the team out this year. I haven't been this pumped for one of our drafts since 2004.

At this point, after one year, I'd give last yrs draft a C-. I think this years is better. It is not as easy as it once was to make the Cardinal team. A lot of these guys will spend the year on the PS. But, may be able to contribute in 2009.

Absolutely. The 2005 Cardinals draft looked like one of the best drafts for us. We got an A from many of the pundits. 3 years later, not so much.
