It can't be Dallas. They play the Falcons in a National TV game. That was announced today.

I voted for the Ravens. That way, our new leader Jeff Blake can promptly shove it up the Ravens butt and Duane Starks will not have pulled his groin yet.

The matchup between Jeff Blake and Kordell would be a good thing.

Agreed! That's why I chose the Lions. We can save the Bengals for a week 9 matchup, in case we need to get out of a slump...

What?
Nah, I want the whiners first to set a good tone for the rest of the season. Take out the defending West champ right out of the gate.

NOOOO! I heard that the new Soldier Field will not be ready for quite some time and that the Bears might have to play in Champaign for a few games. I don't want to go to Champaign! I would rather see the New Soldier Field when it is ready.

Me too Jim! I'll road trip to new Soldier Field, but not to Champaign!

I voted for the Packers. Let them roast in the desert heat!

I personally like to see the benglas first, catch them with their first game with their new head coach and maybe get a winning streak started. Plus it would be a home game.

I was just in Chicago over the weekend and drove by Soldier field. The outside looks ready but couldn't tell about the inside. It looks pretty weird, like they took another stadium and set it inside old Soldier field. It looks alot like Comiskey Park from the road, except sitting on columns.By the way,i vote for Northwestern as the Cards opener. That way they may be able to be 1-0.

Browns, hotter than hell, chocolate brown uniforms, and Jeff Blake knows them. An early win over a playoff team could jump start the whole season.

Since we never open at home I vote for the Rams or Niners. Maybe we can get a good jump out of the gate.

Yeah, that would be an amazing start to the season. You know start the season with a little style, with a big win in St. Louis or San Fran. That would sure get heads rolling around the league & would actually kick-start the season, like someone else mentioned.

I don't want them to play the Ravens until late October or November - that way I can come out to Phoenix when it is still really nice out, but it is starting to get cold out here in DC. Be a great time to go out to AZ.

I don't want to go out for the Ravens game when it is still hot as hell in Phoenix.

Cincinnati or Carolina to start out at home would be good.
