LEXINGTON, Ky. − Tennessee basketball will face UCLA in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.
The Vols (28-7) play UCLA (23-10) on Saturday with time and TV designation to be announced.
The No. 2 seed Vols advanced with a 77-62 win against No. 15 seed Wofford at Rupp Arena. No. 7 seed UCLA routed No. 10 Utah State 72-47 in the final game Thursday.
Chaz Lanier scored 29 points and hit six 3-pointers to tie the UT NCAA Tournament record. His 29 points is the third-most in a March Madness game in Tennessee history.
Tennessee is facing UCLA in the second round. The Vols have faced the Bruins once in program history, a 103-89 loss in January 1977.
