Who has played the best James Bond so far?

I loved Sean Connery as Bond, and all the others were just so much interim cardboard dreck -- but Daniel Craig is a Bond for our times, and he has bumped Connery, to my surprise.

Agreed, though I thought Brosnan was a pretty good cast, too.

I meant to hit Sean Connery. He was my favorite. However I did like Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and I like Craig!

I still gotta go with Connery but I actually don't think Craig is that far behind and both just blow away everyone else. Now that I think the "evolution of Bond" phase is over with Craig (which he pulled off very well), we'll he see if he can seemlessly blend the brute with sly like Connery was able to.

That being said, there was a certain charm that Roger Moore brought to the role. Brosnan was just flat out terrible and Dalton seemed like he was on the verge of suicide with his relentlessly grim Bond. Dalton is better served to play the Villain (Flash Gordon, The Rocketeer, Hot Fuzz) than he is to play the hero.

In my opinion it's Roger Moore hands down. He is the quintessential Bond.
