Who is the better duo?

We have probably lost Steven Hunter plus Q from last year's roster. We gained KT and Raja Bell. Overall, which tandem is better?

We have probably lost Steven Hunter plus Q from last year's roster. We gained KT and Raja Bell. Overall, which tandem is better?

Numbers-wise, we're probably better because Q/Hunter averaged probably 21ppg/12rpg, wheras KT/Bell averaged 23ppg/14rpg. Defensively, we are way better with the current duo even though we'll average about 1.5 blocks less per game. We'll have to see how it all plays out on the court, but we're probably better now....

Honestly.. by the looks of it it seems like we're worse, stat wise..

But what Raja and KT bring is much stronger defense. I believe they'll also be able to step it up, and score more often.

I believe it'll work out better so us in the long run, with the new duo.

If they fit in well, much better.

Both are more consistent and are much better defenders.
Although I doubt either can get as hot as Q or Hunter got at times during the season, they should be solid contributors the entire season instead of dissapearing for a month at a time.

Even if their offense isn't as great as advertised, their defense will be much needed.

This is not really a contest. The real contest is:

Hunter, Richardson, the first round selection, and much of the MLE

Thomas and Bell

I still vote for the second but it's closer. We don't know if the first round pick would turn out to be any better than Dijon nor how much it would take to sign Hunter because it greatly reduces the value of the remaining MLE.

its not 'who's better?', its 'who's better for THIS team?'. The skills that Q brings we already have in spades. The skills that we need Hunter for are better provided by KT (even though another big is still needed on the team).

On another team, this might not be the case, but on this one, i think we got some blue-collar guys that aren't about standing out on the floor or on the stat sheet. they're like the offensive line: always doing their job, and you only hear about them when they screw up.
