Regardless of position, which player do you think will be the steal of the draft. You can laugh it up on mine and because of his ACL tears it might be warranted but my selection is Miami HB Frank Gore. After seeing McGahee come back from his injury and hearing Gore talk about wanting to help his mom who is suffering from kidney problems, I say this kid is mentally putting himself in the position to make a comeback (now only if his injured legs can say the same). I wouldn't mind if the Cards drafted him as early as the fourth round. The guy has talent and I think he will surprise a lot of people.

I agree that Gore has the drive and if can remain healthy he could have a postitive impact. That said, knee injuries are rarely up to the person they belong to...

Andrew Walter. Someone's going to get a hell of a player in the third or fourth round of this draft. There are a lot of above-average quarterback prospects in this draft, it's just getting a bad rap because they're not all bunched up at the top. It's possible that the best QB in this draft will be taken not in the first round, but in the third or fourth.

EDIT: Gore is being projected as a second or thrid rounder. Does that really make him a sleeper, considering where runningbacks have been taken in the last few drafts?

Plus not to mention he put all of the he is to thin talk to bed showing up at the combine at a cut 233 lbs.

He has also been throwing now for a month and said he will be ready to have a workout before the draft. At that time he will go back up into the 2nd round status IMO.

I dont know I personally think of of sleepers as 2nd day guys (4th -7 rounders). But you can still have steals in the first 3 rounds though.

I'm hoping he lasts until our pick in the third.

Man, but that means that there will maybe be four or five quarterbacks chosen in the second round? I don't think that there will be another quarterback beside Smith and Rogers that goes in the first round, and then there's the kid from Auburn, the one from Georgia, O from UConn, and Walter... Isn't there another one that I'm missing?

I think that there's a good possibility that one of the might fall into the third, where someone's going to get a hell of a steal.

But a "steal" is different than a sleeper. Dockett and Dansby were "steals". Boldin was a bit of a "sleeper." Mwelde Moore was an enormous sleeper.

Matt Jones. I'd take him with our second pick.

Understand men. That if we do this we will have a QB, a WR who played QB, and a TE/QB out on the field at all times!

Yikes
Triple reverse double pass deep on 2!

The kid form Auburn is Jason Campbell 6'5 - 223. Good size. Very good arm.
2nd round gold.

I agree that Jones is the sleeper and have no idea where he will be drafted. From #2 to #5. Do think he will make his name known before he is through and I do not even know at what position. Probably just the Homer in me.

I read Jones was the fastest QB ever timed. Did Michael Vick not run? I would think he would be faster.

A lot of top prospects don't work out at the combines. If you're already considered one of the top overall picks you can't do anything but hurt your status by showing up. I can't imagine someone going through the meat market that is the combine when he already knows he's going to be taken #1 overall.
