At the risk of sounding like a broken record - You can't run if you don't have the ball......

Suns are getting beat on the boards on a regular basis - Who will step up? Marion & Amare will get their share and it looks like JJ is really going after the ball but it's pretty obivious they need some help from someone else.

DerMarr showed some promise but he's gone...
Even Nick Sheppard show a little potential - but he's gone...

Best bet is Zarko... or, maybe Jake can improve as he's done well in some of the games. Seems sort of humorous that we outrebounded the Lakers in both games.

IMO it seems like Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire are not rebounding nearly as well this preseason as they did last year. Is it because everyone is trying to run before they have secured the basketball? It's kind of difficult to tell listening to the game instead of watching it.

I watched the game last night and to my eyes they were not trying to run before they got the rebound. In fact, they didn't run any more than last year. It was more like they weren't trying to block out and Portland was hitting the boards hard. Several times I saw Suns do something worse than run out - they stood around watching on the perimeter. I would say the Suns got about a half dozen clean defensive rebounds the whole game - the rest of the time one of more Portland players got a hand on it and there was a scrap for the ball. The stats tell the story pretty well - we got 22 def. rebounds and Portland got 19 off. ones. It looked at least that bad and it would have been worse if Marbs hadn't hung around and picked up several off the floor.
