Coming off a stellar March Madness run a year ago, the storyline that will dominate the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2025 men's NCAA Tournament will be if the program can return to the Final Four this season.
Well, this is also a question that we have already tried to answer as well, as the Crimson Tide have a few reasons as to why they will make it back to the Final Four this March, as well as a few as to why they might not.
RELATED:Can Alabama make it back to the Final Four? Here's what we think
Before the NCAA Tournament officially begins, why not make some predictions as to who we think will potentially cut down the nets in the coming weeks at the Final Four in San Antonio as well?
Here is who every member of our Roll Tide Wire staff has making the Final Four during March Madness, as well as who will win the NCAA Tournament.
Based on how strong the SEC has been this season, it would honestly not surprise me if the conference sends two, if not three, teams to the Final Four in the coming weeks. In that group, Florida feels like the favorite to come out of the West Region, while I have Auburn winning the South, despite some challenging tests along the way. The other No. 1 seed I see winning is Houston in the Midwest Region, while Alabama advances out of the East following a close Elite Eight win over top-seeded Duke.
Florida is the best team entering the tournament, but my guy Rick "The Godfather" Pitino has St. John's on a roll so I'm taking the Johnnies in an upset in the West Region. Auburn was the best team for the majority of the regular season, but I'm always leery about picking teams that have struggled heading into the tournament. It's for this same reason that I don't see Alabama advancing much further than the Sweet 16. I have Duke beating them in the Elite 8, but we'll hope for the best. The Blue Devils have a great chance of winning it all and this feels like one of those "Duke years" so to speak.
For fans of the SEC, the 2025 NCAA Tournament should be a blast with 14 teams qualifying and several with a chance to win it all. The Florida Gators enter the tournament as the hottest team in the country, and with a more than manageable bracket, I think they'll make it to the national title game where the Alabama Crimson Tide will be waiting for a taste of revenge after getting blown out in the SEC Tournament. Outside of potentially facing Duke in the Elite 8, the East Region shouldn't cause the Crimson Tide too many troubles.
