Mavs will win because the Lakers now are essentially the team they were before the trade, without Pau and Bynum.

Mavs are rolling. No Pau.

If Kobe scores 55+ the Lakers win. Anything less, is another Mavs win

Dallas wins:

They are damn good at home.

Lakers are still a powerful team, but not at full strength, like Dallas is.

Pathetic display by the Mavs. No Pau or Bynum and they're down by 21. Come on Mavs, this is one of the few times we're actually rooting for you weak sisters.

Wow! The Lakers are a really well coached team. How else do you explain Kobe+a bunch of scrubs giving it to a full strength Mavs?

They mentioned during the game Mavs have not beaten a team above .500 since the Kidd trade... Ouch!

Lamar Odom tried to give the game back to the Mavs with that brain freeze at the end of the third. Why he shoots so early at the end of quarters amazes me...just dumb. He handed the momentum to the Mavs and the Lakers were lucky to keep their lead.

Dirk's ridiculous threes at the end of games are unstoppable.

Badly needed win for LA tonight. I think Dallas is in serious trouble. The Laker team on the floor tonight was far from an elite team, but Dallas still couldn't get it done. By the time the Lakers hit the playoffs they will have Gasol back, and hopefully Bynum, so I don't see the Mavs beating them in a series. Phoenix is healthy and playing well, they would be too much for the Mavs as would the Hornets, Jazz, or Rockets.

Right now, I definitely think that The Mavs are the pretender in the Western Pack. They're in serious trouble.

Again, that's Josh Howard's fault. Why is he inbounding the ball when you've got arguably ther best passer in the last decade on the team?

Kidd goes for the win, but is shut down by the stifling defense of Bruce Bowen.

How is Kobe shying away from contact anything like Bowen?

If you ever watched Bowen, you would know that Bowen would have slipped his foot under Kidd to try and break his ankle.

Or just kicked him in the face.

Why is Kidd's shot still so ugly? One of these days he will learn how to shoot.

I almost thought you were serious for a minute. Then I realized how obviously silly that would be since his feet are clearly no where near being under Kidd. If Kobe wanted to get under Kidd, he could have. Kobe's never been a dirty player and we both know it.

Actually, if you had watched that sequence Kobe was desperately trying to avoid fouling Kidd.

He wasn't guarding him straight up, then when Kidd rose up he stuck his foot under Ason in his landing zone. THAT is quintessential Bowen. Kobe was just going fetal to try not to foul because he was late on the rotation and a bit out of control.
