I voted for the Pistons but I would guess that Miami will win the poll. In any case it's going to be a terrific series to watch... I want to see if Tayshun and friends can contain Wade...

I think Miami....plus I think Miami is a better match-up for the Suns.

I am going with other. I think this is the yeat that someone will upset one of the top teams in the east and make it to the finals.

I just don't see it.

I guess Washington has a good chance as any of the 'others' but I think the rest of the East (including Washington) is clearly a notch below Miami and Detroit.

I saw two Pistons fans in the elevator while I was in Vegas this past weekend, and I was wearing my Suns shirt...I told them "see you in the Finals"...

I voted for Detroit :)

Okay, I'm taking the Pacers. Don't ask me why. It's just a feeling. Looking at the road they'd take to get there, it looks pretty damn unlikely, so I'll probably be wrong. But what the heck, I deserve a little wild, unfounded speculation once in a while.

I doubt he does. He knows the playoffs are too important.

He may not, but his health bears watching as the Heat advance.

I pick the Heat to come out of the East. Wade is spectacular, and Shaq has just been cruising all year, saving up energy for NOW - the playoffs. Miami is confident, well coached, and have two superstars. I could also see Detroit winning the East, but it's definitely a Heat - Pistons ECF. I would be shocked otherwise.

i can seriously see the nets taking out miami in the first round. they've been playing VERY well as of late, and the combo of Kidd/Carter with Kristic and maybe a healthy Jefferson may be enough to take care of Miami and a partially healthy Shaq.

Nets stand no chance against the Heat. The Nets frontcourt is so weak and Shaq will just destroy them. Kidd,Carter and Jefferson is a good duo but you need a post presents to win in the playoffs and they don't have it. The Heat swept the season series for a reason. I will be surprised If the Nets get more than one game.

I am going to agree with this statement. The Pistons have more athletes that match up with the Suns speed then Miami has. Shaq, although unstoppable offensively, will not be able to run with the Suns pace in a 7 game series. Frankly, I think that if the Suns get past San Antonio, they will be able to run any team from the east into the ground. My worry is San Antonio.

The one thing to consider about Detroit is that they are playing their best basketball as the post-season starts.

Dade County Heat take the whole banana. The veteran pick ups the second half were outstanding. Expect to see more time for Steve Smith, Alonzo Mourning and Christian Laettner. Probably their weakest position is point.

I think the entire East would LOVE to see that.

Shaq ain't winning another title - his dominance is over - and has been for two years - should have been 3 but the KIngs are the biggest choke artitsts on the face of the Earth.
