Who's Going to the Groundbreaking?

I thought there was already a thread regarding this, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Anyway - I live in the Denver suburbs, but I just booked a flight to Phoenix Tuesday morning to be there in Glendale for the ceremony. Who else will be there? I'm not a real heavy poster on this board, but it would be nice to hook up with you guys and say hey. One of my best friends from high school lives in the area, and he's taking off work to pick me up at the airport and go over to the site.

I've been a Cardinals fan for over 30 years - this is a big deal to me...

Skkorp- I got an invitation that said that I should RSVP, but I never did. What kind of access could that actually get you? I really don't know.

You've got to RSVP! That puts you in with the mucky-mucks and you should be able to get great pictures. I think you get a package of memorabilia as well.

Send us a few of your best photos and we'll put them in an article.

You're not a fat old guy!! I hope to be there, but I had surgery on torn tendons in my knee 3 weeks ago and not moving to swiftly, too much football.

Hey do any of us schmucks who just show up get anything? Any idea how many people they expect to be there? Just wondering.

Looking forward to meeting you guys...I'll probably have to pass on the lunch and beer - my buddy who's picking me up and I will more than likely need to take off shortly afterwards, but we'll see.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the Phoenix area again - haven't been there in a few years. I always enjoy the desert.

I don't know the setup or events taking place, but I hope it is like the Coyotes Arena groundbreaking. That was pretty cool. They had a giant tent set-up with some finger foods and drinks, and the entire team was there signing autographs and chatting with the fans. I thought it was fun, because the players weren't standing behind tables or booths, they were just walking around, bs-ing with the fans.

Let's hope it is as good.
