I'm back from Vegas!

I would have to say so far, the Eagles....losing Hugh Douglas and Shawn Barber really hurts, and if Antonio Freeman doesn't come back, they will be in more trouble.

Redskins.

This spending spree on mediocre players is gonna look real funny when they go 7-9 and then are cutting everyone under the sun to get under the cap next year.

$35 million for Laverneus Coles. Good luck with that, morons.

Ok...I only lost like 60 bucks.

The last night really sucked, because my girlfriend and I couldn't get any money out....her theft protection on her debit card wouldn't let us take out any money.

Well, at least coles has been a little productive, but to pay a guy $13 million after one 1000 yard season on a team where he wasn't even really the #1 threat (curtis martin, richie anderson, wayne chrebet, santana moss) is pretty speculative. It may work out for Washington but if it doesn't, they're gonna be saddled with a giant albatross of a contract with Coles.

At least they improved their team. Yeah, they over spent, but the player they have now are better than the players they had last year. My vote goes for KC. They haven't added anybody to a so-so team, but somehow alienated their best player (Holmes) by resigning Green to a huge contract to the point he doesn't wan to play next year.

Hmm- a tie between Dan Snyder's overkill and the Vinkings. They had second most to spend and have signed only 1 free agent starter (Denard Walker).

They added one of the best defenders on the market Shawn Barber, a capable corner in Dexter McCleon, and resigned all the guys they needed too.....not that bad, though they need to restructure a few contracts to give Holmes his pay day.

No Holmes, no wins. No one player means more to a team.

I don't know if you can assume he won't play.

I'll bet anyone 100 dollars that he plays next year and plays at a high level.

Take your pick

Cleveland- I agree...terrible moves so far
KC- I don't. Added some nice players so far.
GB- Definitely, and it could get a whole lot worse
Philly- My personal favorite for worst offseason.

I sort of like what Philly did. They lost Douglas, but didn't mortgage their future. He is afterall 32. Barber I suppose I am not as impressed with as most. I think he's replaceable. And don't they still have plenty of cap space? They look like they will be good for 4-5 more years.

Even money Holmes does play, of course. That said, things like these can turn ugly and hurt a team in the long run. Players turn against management, that sort of thing.
