The playoffs will be starting pretty soon and it looks like the 5 contenders for MVP this year are:

Derrick Rose
Dwight Howard
Lebron James
Dirk Nowitzki
Kobe Bryant

IMO it's

1.Dwight
2.Rose

3.Dirk

4.Lebron
5.Kobe

So who's your MVP?

dirk all day.. his team dominated. He got injured and they lost like 8 straight.. Then when he came back they started to dominate again.

It's dirk for me but was very close with derrick rose.

James isn't even in the discussion. It will probably go to Bryant, even though Rose is the sentimental favorite.

that was the point I was going to make. but I think rose will win it. I think it should be between rose, dirk, and howard. To me they are the most deserving trio. when you look at those three they have carried their clubs on their backs and have numerous wins over the other elite teams which should count. While they play on deeper teams than most others, they don't play with another game changing all world player like the others do.

I go with rose. the bulls wern't expected to contend. when they lost the lebron sweepstakes everyone wrote them off even their fans. I was in chicago when it happened. then rose turns out to be the best player in that conference. he is the best closer in the Eastern Conference and has closed out games against elite teams. he is my winner. I'm a mavs fan so by default I won't vote for dirk. but you guys know how I feel about him. I'd rather see him lift a title trophy though instead of an mvp trophy. then he might get some respect for being one of the best players over the last decade.

Why is Kobe on the list? This is one of his worst seasons.

I can't see how anyone can not pick Derrick Rose.

25 points, on 54% TS. 8 assists on a 32% usage rate. Average Defense

vs.

23 points on 62% TS. 14 RPG. Best Defender in the NBA

Personally I'd take Player 2 but that's just my opinion.

Who's player 2? Is it a real player in rhe NBA or is it imaginary?

I cant think anyone that averages 25 on 66% 3 pt shooting and 14 rebounds along with being the best defeender in the NBA...

Bryant will win the award because he's been the best player in the league for the last five or six seasons and has only a single MVP to show for it. While the league's propaganda machine has been trying to anoint James or someone else as the Next Big Thing, Bryant just keeps doing his job and winning titles. Voters will realize that they've been duped by the younger generation, and reward Bryant retroactively for his postseason successes.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but it's what will happen.

It is D. Rose. However, if we were picking by the actual criteria of who is most valuable it would be Steve Nash. The Suns can't so much as win a game if he does not play. We are basically the Cavaliers sans-Lebron when Nash is out. Actually worse, because they have been ravaged by injuries.

D Rose and for the recod, as a lifelong Bulls fan, I never wrote them off this year. By the way, they WILL.have the best record in the East while only having their starters together for 35% of the season and having the wrost starting SG start all 82 games. Plus, Rose become a good defender, leading PG's in blocks and averging over a steal a game.

Its a toss up between Howard and Rose. The tech problem with Howard tips it to Rose IMO.

Bulls, another team that's smart enough to fortify defensively both at the point of attack(Rose) and at the rim(Noah). They're very close IMO.
