I am curious as to why the Dbacks seem to rarely get day home games, or at least games that start earlier?

any thoughts?

I'm just thinking. Would there be a real loss in revenue if games started at 6 rather than 7:30? Especially the weekend games? Why would they have a saturday game start at 7:30 when I am sure they could start at 3 or so and do well.

Well, as for really early starts, as in the COL game here at AZ early in the season, something like 17,000 showed up for a 12:10 game.

I for one really hate that they moved the start times up from 7:05 to 6:40. It can be tough to make first pitch if you are coming from the North Valley or from Tucson, as many of my friends do. I cant see why, especially for Saturday night games, that the time cant be 7:05 with 1:05 or 12:05 games on Sunday.

I understand you situation, but I would think that more families could wind up going on school nights if the darn games didn't get over at 10 and sometimes 10:30. There has to be some more flexibility.

The one that really gets me though is the late start of saturday. No reason for it IMO.

I remember last year the Dbacks ran polls at the ballpark on whether people preferred 6:40 or 7:10 games. Im assuming they used the fan opinion results when scheduling the games this year.

The couple of day games I've gone to I usually went straight back to work when they were over w/out spending too much money, if any. At night games and I buy many beers and food, etc..., and I bet most spend more money then.

I don't know how tv ratings play into this, because I think they can only broadcast a certain number of games, so they intentionally don't broadcast the day games--I heard that anecdotally though, so I'm not sure it's right.
