Just wondering. I know there is no plan on keeping them. Are they being considered for other trade possibilities?

Maybe the Suns are just keeping their options open in case a trade arises.
I think so too, but there must be a limit to how many times a player can be traded during a single off-season. Especially one that has already announced he will retire.

Interestingly, T'Wolves traded Miller to NO earlier last month to create a little more cap space to sign Batum to an offer sheet. It cost them two second-round picks to clear less than $1M in cap space (his buyout amount) but Portland, as expected, matched Batum. So now they were involved again with NO (and the Suns) to clear more cap space to sign Kirilenko.

Miller did announce he was going to retire, but I also read that wasn't 100% sure yet. However, should he decide to play one more year, he will certainly not be wearing a Suns jersey this season as that would cost them $5M (as opposed to the $1M buyout).

So yes, most likely the Suns are only holding on to those contracts in case something else comes up. NO could have bought out Miller right away, but they waited and were able to use him in another trade. I don't know what the deadline is to waive either Miller or Dyson, but I'm confident Sarver won't miss it.
