Even though we're out of the playoff race, and winding down another lame season, this week's game is huge because the Cards have been playing good football the last few weeks, and lots of NFL talking heads are talking about the Cardinals right now. I got Sirius Radio (great purchase) a week ago, and several times a day, somebody is on one of the sports stations talking about the Cardinals, and how well they're playing, how they're the team people think will be spoiling other teams' playoff chances, and how Leinart is playing great with a really high completion percentage (over 60% the last three games). At least half the talking heads like the Cardinals over the Broncos, and if the Cards can win this game, they're going to get even more recognition, and respect. I think both are really critical to the health of this team right now, and would be a great way to go into the offseason (particularly if we can win one of the other two remaining games, or both).

Lots of people are interested in tomorrow's game. They want to see Leinart v. Cutler. They want to see if the Broncos can keep their playoff hopes alive. Especially here in New Mexico, where there are a lot of Bronco fans, the game is going to get al lot of attention, and will be televised. Not since Monday Night against the Bears has there been as much national attention in a Cardinals game as tomorrow's game. Right now people see the Cards as a team finally putting it together, and a win tomorrow against the Broncos will go a long way, and I think will be a real indictation that the Cards ARE finally putting it together.

Go Cards!

This weeks game isn't that important to the Cardinals. As long as Matt Leinart is the QB they can spin it to get fans to renew. The team should be chomping at the bit to play next year with Leinart having almost a full season of experience. The Kool Aid will start flooding as Camp nears next summer.

If Leinart had been taken before 10 and the season played out the way it has there wouldn't be 30,000 people renew and the ticket brokers would snap up even more making the Frat house a vacation destination rather than a Cards home field advantage.

Thank you Oakland and Detroit etc. for Hollywood Matt.

I also think it's a big game, for most of the same reasons and the fact that the next group of FA's will look at us a the next big time program if we can keep on winning. The players here will feel a lot better about being here and it wont be that long of an off season. I know one thing they will come out and play hard. Who will win ?? I hope it's us.

All three remaining games are big games for Cards. All three teams have to play for something (not sure about San Diego). So, if we win 2/3, especially the next two, that will be HUGE.

if we win

first off, we've been here at least once or twice a season the last couple of years - okay maybe twice because I am a fan. But it seams I have let myself read something into a couple meaningless wins to think - hey we are close - and if we win the next one I think we have turned the corner.

This time it feels a little different - we already beat a strong team @ home for one, but what it comes down to is they look like a team, D is playing - knocking the snot out of people - seperating them from the ball; The O is putting points on the board - since the minny game - not 14-17 two teams that don't want it wins - these are races, and we are winning the races (almost got minny).

If we get the donkeys tomorrow - It don't happen often - but there will be a bunch of cocky cards fans at the ice cooler monday AM.

Cards - let me drink happy tomorrow, and set up a stand at the cooler monday.

As much as I would like to see the Cardinals win, Im afraid if they do, and end up with 6 or 7 wins, they will keep Green. We had some good games last year too and ended up stinking up this year, so I say Green should go no matter what. Even with the wins, the defense is still one of the lowest ranked in the league. Im tired of the poor game management, and Greens stubborness; we need to clean house on the coaching staff. Continuity is important but not 4 years of ineptitude.

I got Sirius in 2004 for the NFL stattion. Sirius sucks(BTW Howard is no good anymore after going to Sirius it's the same thing everyday.) I am dumping it after Christmas and getting XM. XM's music stations are WAYYYY better. As for the game I think it's huge, because this will be the game that determines DG's future here.
