His assist to turn over ratio isn't to terrible, and he's familiar with Shaq. I just hadn't heard his name mentioned anywhere. He was way overpaid last eason (8 million.) Though I doubt he'll get more than 1/2 the MLE anywhere this season.

Williams is certainly a possibility, but I'm not sure Porter will assume that risk (nor Sarver). Sure, Williams was w/ Shaq when they won, but just look at the team's performance last year - some blame has to go on Williams.

Sorry carey, but my goal for the Suns, in every aspect, is higher than isn't too terrible.

I still haven't given up on a Championship or two.

In a van...down by the river.
I've never liked his game.
Bad shot after bad shot.......
Turnover after turnover............even when he was balling with those great KINGS teams.....yuck.
Athletic? yeah.
No thanks.

I actually think Williams would be a fine back-up to Nash. He has had injury questions but in limited minutes he would be very successful.

If the Suns FO is only offering the veteran minimum, Suns fans should feel thankful for just about any veteran PG that can run the offense when Nash is out of the lineup. If Dragic cannot come over now I would be thankful to have a veteran PG plus a third PG even if he is from the summer leagues. I have a feeling there are going to be a number of unproven PGs that may be released or traded from some teams that are overstocked on the cheap.

Williams would be fine if he could stay healthy, but he can't. He played hurt last season while bucking for a new contract, but I couldn't go two weeks without reading another update about whatever his latest injury was.

I though so too at 1st, but he's referred to as Jay Williams. This could be the year he makes his comeback though!!! :biglaugh:

I propose picking up all 3 Ja(y)son Williams in some capacity. The comedy potential intrigues me. All three have had terrible accidents in the past: one with a shotgun, one with a bike and one with a tattoo artist.

Jason Williams appears undisciplined to me.

That seems to have always been the knock on him although I would personally take him. Sometimes having a player that plays with wreckless abandon can spark a team. With a player like that, one has to hope one gets more upside than downside. Sometimes I think the Suns just do not play with enough passion or energy. Jason Williams certainly brought this early in his career.
