Wie withdraws with sprained ankle (AP)

Michelle Wie has withdrawn from the LPGA Tour Championship because of a sprained left ankle. Coming off her first tour victory last week in Mexico, the 20-year-old Wie shot a 72 on Thursday, limping through her round on the gimpy ankle that she first injured at the Solheim Cup in August. Wie went for treatment after her round and withdrew about an hour later.
