Why did NE sub the DT who just made the tackle on the first down with a lengthy DE before the second down when all Buf is at the goal line and all they were doing is pounding? And suddenly they only had 2 linemen on the field in a goal-line defense situation. This seems so not a BB thing to do (very VJ alike).

Went back to 2018 draft threads to see what I thought about Allen and absolutely hated him as a prospect. The only ones who seemed to like him back then from what I saw were @Stout @Dback Jon @Ouchie-Z-Clown @Cbus cardsfan
Guilty as charged. I actually felt pretty relieved after knowing Buffalo traded up to get Allen instead of Rosen. I viewed Rosen as a much better QB than Allen. I have Allen ranked NO.5 Qb coming to the draft behind Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, and Lamar. Shame on me.

After his rookie year in the nfl Allen drastically improved his throwing motion and his accuracy
The odds of him translating well(as a passer) in the nfl were against him based on tape, as athlete is amazing, great runner, tough, hard to bring him down
But let's see moving forward, we were impressed even last year but then didn't play so well when it matters

I wanted no part of him and then really got down on him after those Twitter posts came out. He seemed to deal with those and move on pretty well and now he’s just a freaking STUD QB.

He had serious flaws and then that stuff about his old tweets came out the night before the draft and it seemed like his stock was falling.

I actually have been pretty good about touting quarterbacks. I wanted Prescott, I wanted Mahomes

With Allen I have a good friend who is a Wyoming alum so I ended up watching him play quite a bit in college

I wanted the Cardinals to stay where they were & draft Jackson.

It also helped that Buffalo had an outstanding coaching staff in place from the first day he stepped in their building.
