My company provided me a Verizon access card for my lap top. I have to say that overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. It's slower than cable, obviously, but I thought it was pretty quick still. Very few issues with losing my signal once connected.
Yep. Verizon is the way to go. It pretty much covers anywhere in the valley. If you want a home solution, you have plenty of options. If you want access anywhere in the valley, like you are wanting. Verizon is a no-brainer.
So I got a Dell Inspiron Laptop (unknown to me) comes with an expresscard slot instead of a pc card slot. Stupid me I had already bought a pc card which took me all night to realize would not fit no matter how many times I try to get it to.
Anyways I guess I only have 2 choices. Dell 5700 expresscard modem or Verizon Wireless V640, both being the same price.
I have a verizon wireless card that is paid for through work. I take a commuter train into the city each day and the idea was to be able to do work from the laptop during the train ride. Thing is, the connection goes in and out every five minutes on the train. So I rarely ever use this thing.
