The day: Saturday
The city: Philadelphia
The jerseys: Alan wearing #40, the toddler sporting his new #11 jersey.

We may end the day with a lifetime supply of batteries. :mulli:

Make sure you are holding the toddler all day. Philly fans assaulted Santa but they probably won't mess with a dad holding his kid.

40 is also a good choice to wear, it might appeal to their sense of patriotism and distract them from thuggery.

I was thinking the same thing. You'd have to be a real cold fish to go after someone in a Tillman jersey.

Surprisingly I only got one smartass comment. Perhaps it was the 40 jersey.

I remember the 08 playoffs- they wouldn't say Cardinals - they called us "THAT BIRD!"

As someone who is a Cards fan who has lived in South Jersey most her life, I can state, without doubt, it was, indeed, the Tillman jersey.

Although the cute kid might have had something to do with it as well. :)

I have worn my Tillman jersey to many stadiums/cities, and I have only once or twice heard a negative word (and it was always from someone who was clueless). More times than not, opposing fans would correct/educate their ignorant compadres, and all would be good.

Way to represent, Alan!!!! Go Cards!!!!
