The Cardinals select.................

Derrick Johnson OLB Texas.

Thats it I have made up my mind! :D

We have to take him, he is the best player on the board. We cannot draft a CB only because it is a big need. Even if we have to go into the season very thin at CB. We must take the best player...

With Berry & Okeefer at the ends Dockett inside & dansby & DJ at OLB's we will be a very nasty defense for many years...

Playmakers make big plays. DJ is a playmaker hands down. Enough said. I hope is wearing Cards jersey on Draft Day.

On NFL Total Access last night, they reviewed linebackers. They liked Williams' playmaking ability but questioned his ability to hold up at point of attack.

Actually (bows) they now rate Ware #1 at the position ahead of Williams.

My point - Williams may be good, but that good? I don't understand why he's being deified here.

Does anyone have a feel if Ware could fall to 44. If he did we would have to look strong and hard at taking him there. I agree with Jeff, Williams will be a very good player, maybe great, I think Ware has simular possabilities.

I would take DJ, but he will probably be gone by #8.

Also, last night on NFL Network, they stated that Demarcus Ware has the most explosive first step in the Draft.

Ware is kind of the Matt Jones of the defense. Most boards now have him moving into the 1st round, with Kiper rating him as high as #16. Is he "the flavor of the week?" Or will he continue to move up the charts? Tough to say.

It's hard to see Ware falling to #44, but with guys who have a lot of raw potential, you never know. (It may simply being a matter of the right position coach telling his boss: "I can make a Hall of Famer out of that guy!". And, as they say, "it only takes one GM who loves a player" for him to go high).

Personally, I think he's the real deal.

I think one of either Alex Smith or Derrick Johnson is available at #8. Whoever of the two that is, that's who we take.

Derrick Johnson would be a fantastic pick.

Folks, DJ won't be a Card, Romeo will snatch him up at number 3 to try and rebuild that mess in Cleveland. Besides, I'd much rather see a CB, since we've got one and only ONE corner under contract. Give me Pac-man Jones or Carlos Rodgers.

I also think he is gone but if he is there I take him no questions asked.

I do not like guys named "Pac-Man". Are we drafting a guy with a cool name or a great player.

If the Cardinals re-sign CB Hill, I have no problem taking DJ. But, if not, we have to get one of the top CB's.

If DJ is there, I say that we take him. He will be a difference maker. That will put two difference makers at linebacker. We aren't even sure who the best CB to draft is. I agree that we need to address CB and I think that we will draft at least two on day one. The only player that I would take before DJ is Ronnie Brown and he definately won't be there. If DJ is gone, take the best CB on the board. Stay away from Alex Smith (QB).
