Pretty much every WNBA fan knows which player will hear her name called first tonight in New York City, but what are the sportsbook odds suggesting about how the rest of the WNBA Draft will unfold?

Last year, Caitlin Clark’s odds to go first overall were removed ahead of the draft because she was such a heavy favorite. It’s a similar story this year for Paige Bueckers, as BetMGM is not offering a betting market for the first pick. Before the odds got pulled, the UConn product was -20000 (bet $20,000 to win $100) on DraftKings to be the top pick, which is currently held by the Dallas Wings.

“Bueckers is a clear lock for No. 1,” said Hannah Luther, sports trader at BetMGM. “After her tournament performance, she has cemented herself to be the first pick of the WNBA Draft.”

When BetMGM released its WNBA Draft markets last week, Dominique Malonga was at -500 (bet $500 to win $100) to be the second pick and has since moved to a slightly shorter price of -550.

Malonga, a French player who is 19 years old and stands at 6-foot-6, opened at -125 at DraftKings two weeks ago, just ahead of USC’s Kiki Iriafen at +135 (bet $100 to win $135). Not only is there now a substantial gap between the two, with Malonga at -550 and Iriafen at +1600 on BetMGM, but Notre Dame guard Sonia Citron now has the second-shortest odds to go second at +300.

Dominique Malonga is ready to come to America with a bigger dream.

Today, the 6-foot-6 center will likely be one of the top picks in the WNBA Draft.

Among all bets at DraftKings for which player will be taken second overall — the pick that was traded to the Seattle Storm in a deal that sent Jewell Loyd to the Las Vegas Aces and Kelsey Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks — 50 percent of the bets and 95 percent of the money have come in on Malonga.

Outside of the first two picks, there’s been a ton of interest surrounding Hailey Van Lith, especially after her brilliant March Madness run. The most notable odds movement on WNBA Draft props at BetMGM has been surrounding the TCU guard.

Van Lith’s draft position prop opened at 9.5, with over 9.5 (picked 10th or later) at -140 and under 9.5 (picked ninth or earlier) at -110. That has since moved to 10.5, with the over a sizable favorite at -275 and the under at +180. Additionally, Van Lith was originally priced at -5000 to be drafted in the first round, but that price has swung to -750.

Looking at the rest of the first five picks, Citron is a -250 favorite to be the third pick, and Iriafen leads the way at -165 to go fourth overall — with both of those picks currently controlled by the Washington Mystics. Neither of those prices have budged since BetMGM first posted them, though Iriafen’s third pick odds have improved slightly from +500 to +400.

The fifth overall pick, which belongs to the expansion franchise Golden State Valkyries, has the smallest favorite among all of BetMGM’s exact pick markets. LSU forward Aneesah Morrow opened at +140 to be selected fifth and is now -110. Maryland guard Shyanne Sellers is the second choice at +220 to be the fifth pick.
