If the Cards are picking top 15, maybe they can find a team willing to do a deal for the Cards #1 , the Cards get the lower #1 and get back into the 2nd round, where there is great value.

Is there a precedent for getting a second-round pick in the same draft for moving down 5 to 8 spots in the first? Hard to see we'd get more than a third or 2013 second in that deal.
Last year the Jags gave up their first (16) and 2nd rounders to the Redskins for the number 10 pick so they could take Gabbert.
I think the only way you get a 2nd would be if the last QB was there
Barkley staying hurts that scenario. After Luck and RG3, the last one is Landry Jones- who has not helped himself this year.
Here is the nice thing about #12-#16 range of the first round: the Cards will likely have their choice of three players all rated at that spot (I.e. the BPAs at that point in the draft) who all play a position of some need.
I think there will be some "safe" picks there: either of the two Stanford offensive lineman and/or Upshaw the LB from Alabama
There will also be some high upside /risk guys there: Wiley from The Illini, etc
if we pick around 14-15...it might be an idea to get that guard who is rated so high......Then find a safety in the third...LB in the fourth,...OT in the fifth.
Oh I hope we don't draft an OG they will try to make him an OT like they did with Brown and Davis.
There is a LT at Iowa State that very well may slide under the radar, but the talk around here is that he could project very well in the NFL. His wingspan is huge and he played very well against some good teams. Sorry I don't remember his name.

A 5th round OT.... eeeuuuuuuwwwww.
Martin will most likely be a RT in the NFL, but he'll be decent at that position. DeCastro has All-Pro Guard written all over him, he does everything good. He's very similar to Hutchinson in terms of his skill sets, he would be a steal if we could get him in the teens. Martin, at Tackle, is still a better option than both Keith and Brown.I don't think Martin or DeCastro are safe picks. Last year was a loaded draft, that may not be seen for a long time. The LBer to take in that area might be Luke Keuchly, who could be plugged in Day one , game 1 and be there for ten years.
Out of DeCastro, Martin and Reiff, I prefer them in that order.
Trading back will be a considered option, but someone will have to drop for a team to really want to move up. Alshon Jeffery might be a guy like that, or Trent Richardson because of the positions that they play.
Trading up for Luck would be a smart move for Arizona, but I don't see the Cardinals as being the type of organization to take that gamble.
While I have a hard time seeing the Saints letting him go, why wouldn't the Cardinals offer Drew Brees 5 years, and make him that highest paid QB in the NFL? We have the room and if you backload the deal, you would eventually hit the beginning years of the TV contracts which will be the next big increase in the salary cap. Offseason plan would go restructure Levi Brown, resign Calais Campbell, sign Drew Brees and Carl Nicks. If the Saints slap him w/ the franchise tag, you give up the two first rounders. (No way this happens by the way). This allows you to release Kolb (due to his concussion issues), you still have Skelton to develop, and your biggest weakness, offense, now is a strength. You still have issues at OT, but you draft some developmental guys in the 3rd - 7th rounds, and Brees' quick release will take care of the rest.
i think your manager strategy deserve a real role...fire graves and hire chopper
Chopp - I get your thinking, but (other than restructuring Levi) I did not see anything about rebuilding the O-line.
Do you really want to invest all that much in a new star QB only to get him killed back there?
