The Women's World Cup-champion U.S. national team will be honored on Tuesday by President Barack Obama at the White House. The United States, ranked No. 1 in the world, defeated Japan 5-2 in the title game of the monthlong World Cup tournament this summer in Canada. Carli Lloyd, who scored the fastest hat trick in tournament history in the championship match, was the event's Golden Ball winner, while Hope Solo won the Golden Glove title as the best goalkeeper.
