Every year it seems we hear the experts call the current draft class weak. This year is no exception, but could it be the worst? It has some stiff competition with the draft class of 2000. Take a look at this stinker of a class. http://www.nbadraft.net/nba_draft_history/2000.html

Top 10:
1. Kenyon Martin
2. Stromile Swift
3. Darius Miles
4. Marcus Fizer
5. Mike Miller
6. DeMarr Johnson
7. Chris Mihm
8. Jamal Crawford
9. Joel Przybilla
10. Keyon Dooling

Mike Miller ended up winning ROY because Kenyon Martin broke his leg or something. The Suns were delighted when Big Jake fell into their laps at the 25th pick due to contract disputes with his Euro club. Lucky us. The 2006 draft was not as bad despite it being diluted by the newly instituted eligibility rule requiring entrants to be a year removed from high school.

You have to scratch your head when you see Michael Redd dropped into the second round. Wow. That draft was awful.

I think this one will be close. Marcus and Markieff will be high fiving each other in D-League games in the near future. Fredette might even go back to jail to play against people he can school. Enes Kanter will quit the NBA to go after a career in Turkish rap music.

Can't wait till this one is over. Hopefully the one non-reject lands on the Suns. (yea like that's gonna happen...)

You guys have to click on the player on the nbadraft.net link I provided to see the player comparisons they made. Jerome Moiso's NBA comparison was Kevin Garnett and Marcus Fizer's was Charles Barkley. There's more. They were a bit liberal back then with their comparisons to say the least.

Dude, NONE of their comparisons make any sense in retrospect. Kenyon Martin = Rasheed Wallace? Jamal Crawford = Ron Harper? Mark Madsen = Charles Oakley? Joel Pryzbilla = Luc Longley? Not even close on any count!!!
