Would it be better to put Micah in the bullpen?

Micah has been hit hard his last five starts and I was wondering if it would be better for the team to put him in the bullpen and maybe bring Max back up and start him?

Or do you let Owings continue to start and hope he can get it going again?

The way the team is hittnig maybe he can DH in interleague game or play the outfiled. He has not been pitching well. He still is talented and should not be given up on

As of now, I think you take the same tactic you have with the young hitters. Stay the course, they're young, they'll slump, its going to happen. The D'backs were a huge surprise last year, and I think people are somewhat unfairly expecting them to duplicate last years results. Coming into this season I fully expected the D'backs to miss the playoffs or perhaps get bounced in the first round. Next year I think is a more reasonable timeline for putting higher expectations on this team.

Maybe better still, move RJ to the bullpen, put Micah in the #5 spot, Davis in the #4, Max Scherzer in the #3 spot, then Haren, then Webby. While we're at it, let's lose Gonzalez and use him and the cash from Trot to find us another decent reliever.

I truly believe that if we put Scherzer in there and stay with him, we won't be sorry. Sure, the guy's got an 0-2 record with us, but he's got a 2.90 ERA, one of the best on the team.

Hey.... it sure couldn't hurt.

Scherzer doesn't have the arm endurance to be a full-season starter. He's still on very fixed innings this season.
