This is supposed to be an exciting summer for the Phoenix Suns. I'm sure it will be, but I'm going crazy waiting for something to happen. There are so many options and possibilities for this team. There are so many questions to be answered.

Would Kobe Bryant really like to come here? If so, will he be convicted of rape? Even if he isn't convicted is he going to look guilty like O.J. Simpson? Will the Phoenix Suns be able to free up another salary cap space to sign him? Is a trade a possibility? Those aren't even all of the questions just surrounding Kobe Bryant.

Do the Phoenix Suns really want Tracy McGrady? What would they really be willing to give up to get him? Is he really worth a maximum contract and the players the Sons would have to give up to get him considering his injuries and questionable work ethic?

Will the Phoenix Suns be able to move Jahidi White in the expansion draft or in another trade without giving away their #7 draft pick? If so, what is it going to cost them?

What do the Phoenix Suns really think of Milos? Do they believe they can get him on their roster for next season? If so, what is he going to cost? What is he really worth in a trade? Is he the next Steve Nash or the next Marko Jaric?

Will the Phoenix Suns keep their #7 draft pick? Will they traded for a future draft pick to free up a room under the salary cap for free agency? Would they just trade down in the draft if they liked someone and could save some salary cap? If they do trade down, what would they get in return?

If the Phoenix Suns are going to keep their draft pick, who are they targeting? What position are they targeting? If it is really a point guard they are targeting where does that leave Milos?

If they can't get Kobe Bryant in free agency, who are the Phoenix Suns going to target? Will they go after complementary players? Will they go after an offensive center or a center who will help them defensively? How badly do they want Steve Nash? Are they going to overpay for everybody they get?

I'm sure several of these questions will be answered by next week, but I'm not sure I can wait. How are the rest of you holding up? :)

Lost interest a LONG time ago! It used to be I was as excited as you are. However, I don't see anyone this off season on the radar in the draft or free agency that I feel the Suns MUST have! Usually there is a name or two out there that would really get me fired up hoping the Suns would get. Now I am really just looking for the players we have now to improve, and looking forward a year into the free agents two years down the road and that draft class. I think that off season will be much more exciting, IF the Suns don't make some stupid Penny or Googs type of trade to mess up our cap situation.

Look around the league at players, and JJ with his upside, Amare, who could be THE most dominant power forward in just a few years, and all our other young talents like Lampe, Zarko, Barbosa, etc., developing into at least very good role players, and I don't see a trade that helps us more than it hurts us unless we get a guy that is basically off the charts like a Tim Duncan, etc. These trades of Marion for TMac, etc., are just moving small pieces around the board for us. We need to get bigger. That's probably only going to happen via free agency and the draft. We have talented small guys. We need some shot blocking and rebounding. With the exception of an old guy like Dampier, Campbell, etc., I don't see that help coming this off season. I may be in the minority here by seeing a Dampier helping us, on the other hand, I don't want to see the Suns giving him a stupid contract either! :hulk:

Right now I think the Suns have more potential to screw up what we are building, than to successfully add to it, IMHO. I'd rather them add catiously this off season, even if it's just 1 or 2 year contracts! :D

I'm melting down with anticipation if you can't already tell.

The biggest question for me is what is going on with Milos? Maybe the Suns already have him locked up and are going to draft a big man so this PG stuff is all a smokescreen.

Also still like the idea of getting a couple of Boston's number ones for our #7 or some other trade scenarios where the Suns move down in the draft and pick up a player and maybe a pick.

They can't sign Milos yet because it would cut into Kobe money! They aren't expected to sign him until later on. :)

It is not clear what his buyout status is anyway.

I suspect we will get a better handle on it when the Suns draft. If they take a PG like Harris over a bigger man, we can assume Vujanic is not coming.

Yea, now that the finals is over I am in basketball withdrawl already.

This is the time I turn to baseball for entertainment untill there is some basketball or football news. The D'Backs were not very entertaining last night. :(

All of these stories have been played out and nobody really knows (or is telling) any more than we knew 2 months ago. Next week should be interesting, but after that is the long wait untill October.

How long untill we can watch USA basketball?
