Not that it's a horrible thing, as Plummer would have had a much better career if he was part of the post SDS Cardinal era. I haven't watched the entire game today, so I'm sure that Oline has had a lot to do with his struggles. Plummer had the same issues to deal with also. What's critical is that the Cardinals better bring in someone that can HELP Rosen, or he'll never even develop into what Plummer was.

Plummer had better Oline and receivers than what we are fielding currently.

Agreed. Understand that I really enjoyed watching Jake the Snake. With a real franchise, he could have been really good. And, I haven't lost faith in believing that Rosen will be our QBOF. What we really need is Freddie Kitchens back!!!

Different types of QBs, Rosen seems more cerebral and has a stronger arm, Plummer was more mobile and more suited to improvising. Plummer had Moore and Sanders to throw to, they both were 1000 yard WRs....Rosen has Fitz and a bunch of guys who would be #5 WRs at best on most rosters.

I agree with everything you said except that Rosen is more cerebral. He hasn't even remotely given me the impression of that YET. I hope you're correct on that count, just way too early to say that. He was anything but cerebral at UCLA. Plenty of boneheaded, ill-advised throws during his college career.

I think he’s got more talent than the Snake!

Josh has started feeling the pressure of a piss poor Oline, bad receivers, unimaginative offense the last 4-5 games. Those issues are affecting his ability to be late on most throws & staring his receivers down. Clearly he’s afraid he’s going to get hit or sacked on almost every play.

Clean house for the sake of the kid Michael!!!

Lefywich is going to have to answer for Rosen and the bad habits he is developing.

It's not Leftwich's fault that he's even in that position, but he's just not qualified to be calling plays for a rookie QB. Or any QB for that matter.

By cerebral I am saying he seems like a more intelligent guy overall, wanting to know the ins and outs of every play, maybe not showing it on the football field but Plummer was not a thinking mans Qb by any stretch. I hope that Rosen at least has a better work ethic than Plummer and all indications from what we hear are that he is.

Plummer was always an immature kid, pretty much right up until the day he retired. You may be 100% right about Rosen, & I hope you are. Wilks needs to go asap!!

I will say this Jake was definitely more fun to watch as a rookie. The problem was he never made the progress we expected...let’s just hope Rosen is just starting out slowly and we see significant progress next year (with a new staff).

He did have a real franchise (Denver) and he did exceptional for a few years.

So Rosen will take us to the playoffs and then leave and take a team to the conference championship? Sounds like he is well on his way to a great career.

Yes he did. He let me down though when he crapped the bed at home in the playoffs against the Steelers when the Broncos had home field advantage throughout. Pretty sure that was the year the Steelers beat the Seahawks in the SB.

Hardly exceptional. He led the league in INTs one year in Denver and 2 of his 4 years there he had a higher INT % than he did his last 2 years here and he only got more than 18 TD passes once there. He was a journeyman QB at best

So far I’d compare him to Andy Dalton. Not good enough to elevate a team but decent enough if surrounded with weapons

Cmon he’s gotta have something around him to elevate. Do you think Aaron Rodgers would light it up with this group?!? Sheesh.

You know all of.these Plummer Rosen comparisons overlook a basic truth..... Plummer could scramble and run. Rosen won't be that. But, Rosen has the superior passing tools. We have to get a decent oline for him, Plummer would be better behind this dumpster fire oline.

Why? He is a QB coach put in a crappy situation that he should never be in. He has absolutely NO credentials to be the OC outside of not being McCoy.

Plummer is the dumbest QB I’ve ever seen. I highly doubt Rosen’s ceiling is Plummer

the number of pick sixes is alarming. He's got to be close to if not having the NFL record. I think Jake had like 5 or 6 as a rookie himself but I think Rosen has 6 or 7 now and remember had at least one more called back on penalty

Plummer is the only QB i have ever seen try a pass behind the back. And, it might not have been his worst decision ever. The problem with Rosen is, we were led to believe he would take care of the ball. Increasingly, he is doing very risky plays. He isnt as reckless as Plummer was, but he is getting close.
