Not.

UCLA got away with foul after blatant foul after blatant foul and still lost at home. Howland was outcoached the entire second half until the last 3 minutes when he completely outcoached Bennett who wouldn't use his fouls.

That UCLA press is very good, if you accept it's based on only having the refs call 1 of every 4 blatant fouls.

I'll be glad to see Darren Collison graduate. The kid is ice under pressure. It's hard to hate a team led by a player I admire.

A few observations. Sure, I'm biased, but the PAC is underrated this year and some of the teams that get into the tournament are going to surprise the eastern gurus. Especially if 6 teams get in.

Of all the teams, if UA keeps playing the way they are right now, they may be the most dangerous.

Go Devils. Beat the Cats tomorrow and the PAC title is within reach.

Makes you wonder how they made Notre dame look like a bad highschool team doesn't it?

For the record, the first half was all UCLA for the refs, UCLA shot 17 FT's, WSU shot 3, it kept UCLA in the game because as I told you before UCLA's defense isn't good this year and WSU shot 68% in the first half.

In the 2nd half in 20 minutes, WSU was called for a total of THREE fouls, UCLA figured out later in the game that the refs weren't calling the game close so they started pressing, something they never do, to try and catch up. They actually got the game to 4 and forced a blatant walk by Rochestie but the refs didn't call it, called a block on Drago.

The key play of the game was Shipp missing a layup and then Rochestie hits a 3, 5 point swing, UCLA never recovered from that.

As I've been saying for a while, this is Howland's worst defensive team, the freshmen are mostly overrated so HOwland has to give major minutes to weak defenders like Shipp and Drago because without them, he has to rely on the freshmen who are so inconsistent.

He finally benched jrue today, started Lee in the 2nd half. Jrue has been a huge disappointment, 1 point today, dominated by Klay Thompson.

This just isn't a very good defensive team, offense is not the problem hell they got 81 today against WSU, but they can't guard.

Jrue Holiday sucks. Why again did everyone in the Pac-10 want this kid?

Greg Hicks continues to insist he'll be a top 5 pick this year if he decides to come out. I'd be surprised if he went top 15 as bad as he's been, he can't shoot, he literally doesn't have a jumpshot he shoots a set shot or a push shot on the way up. Great passer but if he goes pro he's insane, needs at least 1 if not 2 more years to develop some scoring ability.

Notre Dame looked like a bad high school team because that's about what they are on most nights. Beating them is no great feat. Seriously, how many pro prospects do the Irish have?

One? Harengody? A 6'7" center? Plays like Ike Diogu. Woopee.

How many pro prospects does WSU have? Maybe one in Thompson, they managed to beat UCLA.

That was clearly on the refs and u know it. Ucla is undefeated if the refs are "consistent."

In favor of ucla.

There are 2 constants with UCLA this year, if Jrue scores 10 or more, they're 11-1, if he doesn't, they're 9-6. the other one is if Dave Libbey is the ref, bet on the other team, 3 of their 5 conference losses were reffed by Libbey. I don't think Libbey had any impact in this game they basically called the game loose the whole 2nd half, just took UCLA longer to figure that out and start pressing aggressively. Hell there were at lesat 2 plays where UCLA was trying to foul to stop the clock and the refs wouldn't call it.
