The NFL Draft is just days away from getting underway in Green Bay, where all 32 teams will select the best prospects coming out of college football across three days. It's also an opportunity for teams to invite former players and celebrity fans to help them make those picks.
Over the last decade, the NFL has brought in guests for each team to make certain selections during the draft, primarily after the first round. It's become tradition for teams to bring in Hall of Fame players, legends, and even active players to announce their pick in the draft.
When it comes to the Chicago Bears, the NFL revealed that former wide receiver Dez White will announce their picks on Day 2. White was selected by the Bears in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech. Spending four seasons in Chicago, White caught 155 passes for 1,754 yards and eight touchdowns. He played two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons in 2004 and 2005.
While White is the Bears' representative from a former player standpoint, he isn't the only guest selector for the draft. WWE superstar and Bears super fan Seth Rollins revealed at WWE World on Thursday that he will also be announcing one of the picks at some point during the draft, via Wrestle Zone. Rollins grew up in the Quad Cities and has been a lifelong Bears fan, even appearing in Bears content such as their 2023 schedule release video.
While White will likely stick to the script when announcing the Bears' selection, don't be surprised to see Rollins take a page from Pat McAfee and David Akers and antagonize the rival fans while in their hometown. The 2025 NFL Draft takes place April 24-26.
