In short, both eight men and eight women will compete in Money in the Bank ladder matches – the winner of each being the wrestler who ascends the ladder and unclips the Money in the Bank briefcase. The case, symbolic as it is, represents the opportunity at a future world championship match at any time of the holder's choosing. It has helped propel some of the biggest careers in WWE and provided some of the most memorable highlights in terms of ring action.
