Yep, they are also adding parental control soon as well. You can limit how much per day/week/etc that you can play the console. After that time, the console will shut itself off.

Mine updated itself and I was able to play avi but not my divx yet. I'm gonna try again today.

I figured it out. I downloaded some divx movies from joox and stage6 and they didn't play so I changed the file extension by renaming the file to .wmv and it works great. I didn't need to convert anything.
I didn't realize the 360 was this cool...lol
