Didi Gregorius swung a bat for the first time since going on the disabled list Sunday and Gary Sanchez will join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on a minor league rehab assignment Monday. “I am optimistic, but we still have to see,’’ Aaron Boone said when asked Sunday if the shortstop and catcher will come off the DL and be ready to play against the A’s in Oakland on Sept. 3, when the Yankees open a three-game series. Gregorius took a few swings in the indoor cage before the Yankees finished a four-game sweep of the rancid Orioles at Camden Yards. “It went good, wait and see what happens,’’ said Gregorius, who has been on the shelf since Monday after suffering a bruised left heel running the bases the day before.
