The Yankees are monitoring the wind and home runs at their new ballpark along with the empty seats close to the field, but they plan no changes. Chief operating officer Lonn Trost said Tuesday more wind studies will be done at the $1.5 billion stadium, but the weather during the first two homestands might have been unusual.

LoL... or,

The Yankees are a far cry from the Yankees I knew and loved for so long...
As wild & crazy as he was, George ran a tight ship that consistently kicked butt and made money.
Today, his son Hank and his merry men have turned the Yankee franchise into a rudder-less yacht, aimlessly drifting in a huge sea of MLB crappola...

The new Yankee Stadium is reported to be outrageously beautiful, classy and tastefully done - paying proper respect and reverance to all that makes the Yankees, THE Yankees...
However, how they can screw up the issue of "the wind" is laughable and yet another example of the incompetence of Hankenstein...

I have railed against MLB's inability to deal with the Players Union on a wide variety of issues... compensation and roids being chief among them.
As a Yankee fan, I have certainly enjoyed the method to their madness as King George played the failed MLB system perfectly...
BUT, today, with no leadership and gross incompetence now reigning supreme within the Yankees franchise (and MLB as well...), I'll admit it's very hard to look past the inequities of the system and to feel good about what Hankenstein & Co have created... A-Rod? CC? Texiera? Damon? Burnett? and on and on and on... none of them are "Yankees"... They are all grossly overpaid MLB gypsies...

I will be at the stadium in July and I'm certain I'll like what I see. My brothers have been to several games this year and have validated the new home.
However - the Yankees are now the perfect illustration of all that is so wrong with the game...
I'll admit I'm totally jaded and not nearly objective on this issue... Baseball has always been my favorite sport since I was 5 years old and the Yankees have been my team since then as well... I hate what Selig, Fehr and others have done to the game. And I really despise what has become of the greatest sports franchise in the history of pro sports...
