Justus Sheffield, one of the organization’s top pitching prospects, was pulled in the fourth inning of his start for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he believes Tommy Kahnle (shoulder tendinitis) could be back in the bullpen by the latter part of the next road trip, an eight-game trip that begins Tuesday in Washington. Adam Warren (back) doesn’t figure to return that soon. In his second rehab game for Single-A Tampa, Greg Bird (ankle) played seven innings at first base and went 1-for-2 with two walks.
