YYYYEEEEEAAAAAHHHH! Cards getting Graves is Awesome!! This is the guy that I wanted to see. I was hoping like hell that Chicago signs Stewart so that Graves would fall to us and he did. This guy can throw the deep ball(still don't know who he will throw to) and he can scramble and he is a seasoned veteran---YEAH!

Hodgins shows me that this team is finally committed to having a superior running game. Trust me, Marshall Faulk is going to miss James and Tugboat will totally thrive. Hodgins is the best blocking Fullback in the NFL hands down and when you need that extra push on the goal line I guarantee that other defenses will have their hands full with this team!!!!

Dexter Jackson--Hey the man won a ring and stepped up to the plate in the biggest game in his life.... that being said I hope that is just the beginning of the re-tooling of the defense...

Mr. Graves -- You had a good day!!!

Now let's see if he can find some pass rushers- The best one out there is Terrell Suggs-find a way and make it happen. If it's not possible then don't discount Hugh Douglas . He is one of the best DE in football and although he is 32 I think he has plenty left in the tank.

OOOps so exited - Yeah BlakeBlakeBlake

Does anyone know what our remaining cap situation is??? I know Blake was a steal at 7.5 over 3 and I know Hodgins is around 1 mil. per year and Jackson is 14.5 for 5??? Don't know what Darling signed for????

Sounds like we got some bargains and could have plenty of room to do alot more!!

Been a big Cards fan since 1974-loved Hart,Gray,Metcalf,Lomax,Green,OJ Anderson, etc.and Plummer in 1998 and certainly Boston a couple of years ago---

I just want this team to do good!!! They have the right coach if they get him the tools!!!! If the Cards can set themselves up before Draft day - who knows - they may be in a position to get Suggs - now with the signing of a good good qB they hopefully can focus the rest of their attention at getting some thumpers on the D-line.

Jim - I watched everyone of those games-- Great memories. I still remember Roy Green returning that kickoff-wow - and If I recall I still think he was playing CB wasn't he?? I think he had not yet been moved to WR.

The only game that I didnot see was Larry Wilson, but many oldtimers here in STL still remember Larry and still love the fact that he played with a broken arm!!!!

Yep...Roy was wearing #25 when he returned that Kickoff. He was a CB that season.

Note of caution and concern

Note of caution and concern -

Blake is only 6-0. How is he at avoiding passes being batted down? Anyone know?

Can't be any worse than Plummer.

Blake , predominantly over his career has not had difficulty because of his quickness and good release. I am trying to find a stat on that as we speak.... there may not be one so you might try a Bengal board or Raven board to get the question answered????

I wouldn't be cautioned greatly on this. This guy is an accurate passer and he is a good scrambler. Plummer is truly gone from AZ

Weren't we going at it one day stlouie...I was defending Graves and you were ripping him apart?

Losing Colvin did hurt my faith in him but all is well again.

I know you hate Blake CBus, and call him a cancer, do you have any stories for us? Newspaper articles?

I tell ya, he said ALL the right things today. He had even hardcore Cardinals bashers like Gambo singing the praises of his signing. Bob Kemp said he taught Brooks a lot in New Orleans, and when asked about McCown he said that anything Josh wanted from him, he'd give him.

Just wondering if he's a changed man, or if he gets off on the right foot and then later there are problems.

I remember back during the Super Bowl Block Party a few years back Jeff Blake was up at a table signing autographs on shiny 8X10s with him wearing a Bengals uniform. I told him I wished he was the Cardinals QB and his response was "But you guys have Dave Krieg!"....I can't remember if he said it with sarcasm or not but my friend and I just replied "Exactly".

Two broken hands to be specific. The bottom line, however, is that Larry Wilson was a tough SOB.
