I'll take Bale, but Samuel L?!? Has he made a decent movie in five years?

Guilty pleasure.

If I thought about it more, it probably would have been Don Cheadle or Terence Howard.

  5. Russell Crowe
EDIT: Phoenix loses out to Spacey. He's very close to Crowe, though. In the end, I think Crowe has more range.

I don't understand how Ed Norton and DDL aren't on everyone's list.

Russell Crowe, good choice. He kills over PST and the bat man guy.

Honorable mention: Matt Damon.

Maybe.

I hear ya. I love everything that he's done. Don't see why he doesn't at least get an honorable mention.

I gave thought to Morgan Freeman, but he always plays the same character. The sage older man who brings a calming influence to the scene.

DeNiro, Pacino and Nicholson are all in the same boat these days: they all seem to play themselves. Their character never seems to vary much this much.

DeNiro, Pacino and Nicholson are all in the same boat these days: they all seem to play ridiculous caricatures of themselves. Their character never seems to vary much this much.
