Because he can choose where he goes or just retire?"Plans to sign with Super Bowl contender"
How does he know that already? Tampering?
He is a vested veteran and isn't subject to waivers."Plans to sign with Super Bowl contender"

IMO thats great news-- we have TE already and he wasnt even playing. Now they get 10 mil freed up next year. They save money next year ($10M ish).
$5 million in additional dead money I think accelerates into this season and can't be rolled over. We save a little less than $8 million in salary and $2 million in roster bonus (which he was unlikely to make, anyway). They save money next year ($10M ish).
Why? He's a total liability at this point.I expected this to happen. I’m sure Philly would love to bring him back.
Do released players just get to choose teams or do they need to clear waivers first?Because he can choose where he goes or just retire?
No waivers on veterans.Do released players just get to choose teams or do they need to clear waivers first?
Probably had to do an injury settlement, right? Since he's technically still on IR????wonder how much money they save?
