surprised on zasty, I didnt think Butler was a very good punter and zasty was the bomb before his injury.

Man... our o-line issues are bad. Our ILB issues are bad... Our enemic running game is bad... BUT, surpassing all of that is the putridness of our punting game. :bang:

Also, sad to see ZO go. Great guy. GREAT leader and locker room presence. Best of luck ZO!

Surprised about Lorenzo Alexander, he was a monster on special teams.

I would assume that means Kareem Martin makes the final 53.

Zastudil has looked bad this preseason - not certain how bad that injury was, but he looks nothing like his old self - can't complain about the cut, though not excited about Butler.

I think age had a play in releasing Zastudil. He is 36 years old and hasn't been able to regain his form since being injured last season.

Hopefully Butler can get the punts off more quickly. That s his main issue. Not surprised at the Alexander cut with younger plyers like Martin.

I'll make this prediction... IF Butler does not improve the amount of time he takes to get off a punt, we will witness a large number - perhaps a record - number of blocked/tipped/hurried punts this season. The guy moves in slow motion once he catches the snap. It drives me nuts! :mad:

It won't take more than 2 for a change imo.

Bout damn time the Alexander stunt of him starting ended abruptly. The dude is simply 1 dimensional & offered zero to the defensive side of the ball

yeah, cutting a punter just made us lose a bunch of games.
Maybe not a bunch of games, but it could cost us a game or two. Butler is not good at pinning teams close to their own endzone and a healthy Zasty is one of the best in the NFL at doing just that.

WOW this team just keeps looking worse and worse and worse

8 win season TOPS :bang::bang::bang:

If we only win 8, it won't be because of the punting situation - as much as I don't like Butler...
8 wins will mean Palmer got knocked out again, or Veldheer, or Calais.

The key word is (healthy), and Zasty had not been that since his injury. There was just not any life left in he leg it appeared. He has never returned to the form he once had here.
