Unbeaten Barry Zito pitched into the eighth inning before needing rescue from the bullpen to earn his fifth victory, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Florida Marlins 3-2 Wednesday night. Zito, off to the best start in his career, allowed seven hits and one run to lower his ERA to 1.49. Sergio Romo required only six pitches to escape a bases-loaded, none-out jam in the eighth.
