theres this fat kid in my neighborhood that plays...he isnt very fast so when he catches up to one of the skinny guys he blasts them...its hilarious... even more so when he winds up for a big hit and the little dude jukes him, lol. its all good though...after the game they go get Mountain Mikes...- oaken1

They know what he can do against college defenders in a college offense. Pro schemes are much more co.plex and most teams CB3 is as good or better than the guys he faced at Ohio State. I think it was a solid move. insurance for kirks health and sets the team up long term at QB...with the added benefit of not having to deal with rookie issues when Penix gets to start. if Penix is ready sooner, they can trade kirk in a couple years for a 6th or something.
