    Champions League 2024

Uh huh, you're full of it on multiple levels. For one, City are drooling over Guimaraes (sp?) and would fall all over themselves to sign Isaak too. For another, go on pretending City doesn't have massive double standards. Hate us 'cause they ain't us? Sure, who wouldn't want their team to be...

    Champions League 2024

Perhaps not Liverpool as much as the others, but they have thrown out astronomical amounts of fees for players. Despite their outgoings, they have spent far more than Newcastle, which is why I bristled so much at Klopp's whiny "we can't compete with Newcastle" comments. But yeah, Man City and...

    Champions League 2024

This is farcical. Due process matters here means that City can do what they want for years but the league pounces on teams like Everton and Forrest. What about their "due process?"

    Champions League 2024

But it isn't remotely like that. It's "Those who have money and spent it before these ridiculous rules went into place" live by a different set of rules. Newcastle aren't allowed to do what Chelski and Liverfool and City did. It's ludicrous. If a team has money and can sustainably invest...

    Champions League 2024

I wish they were an actual thing and not a "the old rich get to stay rich and screw anyone else" set of rules. Because, let's be real--they're only actual rules if you're poor or not septic 6. Everton? Points deductions. Forrest? Points deductions. Man City? We'll drag our feet and never...

2024 1st round pick #4 is Marvin Harrison Jr

I already know MHJ is from Ohio State; I don't want my nose rubbed in it by buying our Ohio State jersey.

This was an amazing interview with Howe:

Week 18 of the Arizona Cardinals off season thread. 05/06/24-05/12/24

I'd rather watch the Magpies than the Cards, tbh, and see far more Newcastle games. I watch almost no Arizona games live.

    The 2024-25 NFL league year

Sad. This is a major screw up, IMO. Another major screw up is they have no morning programming on NFLN now.

I might be mistaken. I thought he had another major injury before. He definitely has maturity issues too, but (with a good coach, anyway), you'd think he can get past those.

Man U lost to Palace worse than Newcastle did. Muhahahaha!

2024 1st round pick #27 is Darius Robinson Edge

Except your analysis doesn't take into account what we lost in the trade fully. You can't say "look, we got all these players" without admitting we gave up other picks that turned into other players. It would unevenly weight the trade.

I mean if he can't stay healthy he won't be able to play, period.

Dest has been having tons of injury problems, so availability, or lack thereof, is threatening to end his USMNT career.

Falcons Penix/Cousins Debacle. What say you?

Huh, I thought he was older than that. You're quite right, then. I still don't think it's a good draft pick, but the age angle is allayed.

This just plain stinks. BTW, is Good Morning Football dead? Feels like it's been off air forever.

Right, Pennix is a really young and healthy QB like Rodgers was... :sarcasm:

Falcons Penix/Cousins Debacle. What say you?

Then he can retire in 2028, right? I'm just being silly, but if you're going for a successor plan long-term, you don't do it with an older oft-injured QB. It just doesn't make any sense.

    Draft Thoughts

Eh, the last 3 years have been "make or break" for Kyler on this board. To me, this is his last last chance.

    THE Newcastle United FC thread

Another good result after another awful start. Howe needs to figure out what's wrong with the team in the first 10-15 minutes of games. Shellacking Burnley is one thing (and was a lot of fun) but they won't get into Europe coming out flat in every game.
