Based on what? May I remind you the Cardinals lost to OAK last year.

I can trump that.

The 1996 NY Jets went 1-15. Guess who their lone win was against?

The 2004 SF 49ers went 2-14. Guess who their lone wins were against?

I'm sure there are others, but those just popped into my head. Count me in as one who is glad we don't play Miami right now (not because I fear them, but because I want them to go 0-16).

We also lost to that Houston team from a couple years back that ended up going 2-14. I think they actually blew us out like the Raiders did last year.

I'm on the 'Thank god we don't play the Dolphins' bandwagon.

season isn't over yet. i fully expect some weird fluke that someone causes the nfl to adjust their schedule so that we have to play miami. they will then beat us for their single win of the season.

Didn't we lose to the 1-15 Cowboys?

Nope. The 1989 Cowboys' lone win was against the Redskins in week 9, however it was sandwiched between two Cards victories in weeks 8 & 10.

The Cards were responsible for one of the 1988 Cowboys' three wins.

They've been doing it since at least 1977!

The 1977 Cardinals, in Coryell's last season, lost to the 2-12 Buccaneers - providing them with their second win ever as a franchise after 26 consecutive losses.

After starting out 1-3, the Cardinals won six in a row to get to 7-3... then lost their last four. IIRC, after losing to the Redskins in week 13 by a 20-26 score, the Cardinals were eliminated from playoff contention, so they didn't have much to play for in week 14 vs. the Buccaneers.

I'd hate to think what would've happened had the Buccaneers not already won their first game in week 13 vs. the Saints!

Both coaches that lost to the Bucs that year were fired at the end of the season.

That's kinda funny. If a coach for the Cardinals won 6 in a row now days, we would give him the key to the city.

Coryell won 7 in a row in '74 and 6 in a row twice. I don't think any Cardinal coach since then has more than 4 consecutive wins.
