Tigers sign slugger Renato Nunez to minor league deal

The Detroit Tigers signed slugger Renato Nunez to a minor league contract Wednesday. Nunez, who turns 27 in April, was designated for assignment and later released by the Baltimore Orioles in November. In 2019 with the Orioles, he slashed .244/.311/.460 for a .771 OPS in addition to his career highs of 31 home runs and 90 RBIs in 151 games.
