Guy sets records for this team and gives us the best season this franchise ever had and now people want to get rid of him? Wow. Especially considering there is no viable alternative for the foreseeable future.

People will always look to blame, point fingers or run home to mommy especially after an ass kicking. Ive got no problem with Palmer. We wouldnt have even sniffed he playoffs without him. You cant do much with a numb finger on your throwing hand. Unfortunately.

Getting rid of him would be inexcusably stupid, I agree. Lamenting his atrocious--no, that's way too kind a word for it--his historically bad playoff game, and realizing he's never going to get us to or win a Super Bowl is realistic. I'll bash the guy for his epic choke job until the cows come home. The fact still is that he's a fantastic regular-season QB, and those don't grow on trees. We'd be crazy to get rid of him. We have to ride with Palmer, try to find our next QB while we do, and pray for a miraculous change in his playoff mentality in the meantime.

Is dumb. People forget what it's like with derrek Anderson or Skelton at qb.

QB is the hardest position to find a good one at. If you have one your ride it as long as you can.

I haven't given up on him. He's all we've got at QB and most teams would love to have him as their QB. I think he'll be back with a vengeance next season and we'll be headed back to the playoffs once again. Hopefully, with home field throughout.

I like Palmer better after this year.

Team needs to come together more and figure things out.

If anyone says to get rid of him they're trolling. He's still a great regular season player and we saw what it's like without him. Keep in mind its only been 14 months since tearing his knee.

+1

I believe he will come back and work even harder. Hopefully he learns from this epic meltdown and gets his head straight for the playoff run we may be in next year.

I disagree that he's incapable of leading us to the Super Bowl. He was playing with a bum finger but that isn't the only reason he played badly. Carolina was a superior team for one. The offensive line played horribly to the point we couldn't get a running game going. This allowed Carolina to pin their ears back and play off not giving us any open receivers. This was a team loss if there ever was one.

Anybody that thinks the Cards are better off without Palmer needs to have their head examined. All you have to do is look at the parade of crap they've put under center since Warner left.

Would be nice to draft an actual QBOF but Palmer's our guy for the time being.

He's a great regular season player. And he's better than most or all the options the Cardinals have had since the Warner days.

But at the age of 37 and having just one post season win in his entire career and an atrocious QB rating of 66.9 in the playoffs, the concerns that the Palmer skepticals have are valid.

He's clearly our best option, but I think a good amount of people question whether he has the mental ability to get it done in the playoffs. He has always had the choke artist label attached to him, so combine that with him playing the worst game imaginable in the NFCG after looking pretty shaky vs GB, mix in the fan emotion of seeing your team get decimated on a huge stage and you've got a recipe for overreactions about wanting to get rid of him.

I personally don't have much faith in his ability to get it done in the playoffs, but I will certainly be rooting for him to prove me wrong.

Well, John Elway was also known as a colosil choke artist in the playoffs and Superbowl, until the end of his career when Denver finally figured out (and John requited) that their key to championships would be through an unheralded running back named Terrell Davis. I think BA would be wise to emulate history and build this offense around David Johnson...Palmer has raved about him all season and we finally had some glimpses of what he's capable of. IMO if they ride Johnson, that will take pressure off of Palmer and allow the game to come to him, instead of him feeling like he needs to shoulder the team.

Steve Young too. Couldn't win the big game to get passed Dallas.

Exactly on both accounts...and what do they all have in common? Relying on running game...Peyton, while he had Edge all those years, never really relied on him to carry a game...In their Superbowl win, however, it should have been Joseph Addai that won the MVP, not Peyton...and for Steve Young, Ricky Waters opened up the game for him and Young didn't have to rely on scrambling as much... and could stay in the pocket more.

I bagged on Carson somewhat yesterday, but I agree with most of you here. He's a great regular season QB and we've all seen where the team was before he was signed. I really can't hate on him and we have no other viable option. I'm behind him all the way for next year.

Wasn't Tom Chambers like this for the Suns? Great regular season player, but playoffs not so much.

Was the knock on Mike Schmidt for years until the Phillies finally won.

To me, I hate to see the meme's about him on social media. Yes, it's funny but I feel for him. NO ONE feels worse than him right now (maybe Fitz, but for different reasons). He knows he put the rest of his team in a hole that was impossible to get out of. Does he make some questionable throws, yes. But he sure throws some unbelievable ones too. I am all in with Palmer until he can't go anymore. It will be hard to get another veteran QB like him. He carried this team to where they got and it is so sad to see how it ended for him. Hope he can put this behind him and come out better next year!

Also, everyone says Palmer looks like a mixture of me and my brother (or is it my brother and I??). Not sure if that is a good or bad thing! :p

This is so funny you posted this because I just watched this this weekend. I have probably seen this movie 100's of times, but always watch it when I see it on TV. It's a classic!

Man, I'm scared of spiders man! Ya, me too! LOL

I agree...Like this movie and will always watch when on TV...kinda like Tombstone...

Only wish the director hadn't screwed it up...The script was supposed to a little grittier...kinda like North Dallas Forty...and that's what Keanu and Hackman thought they were signing up for...Instead it became just another sports comedy.

Kind of glad it turned out the way it did. I have always been a Keanu Reeves fan. Especially going back to the Bill in Ted days. That movie was the best when I was a kid, but now I bet it is so stupid
