Absolutely. You think sanders was better than kordell??? What about Darian Hagan?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember Kordell ever winning the Heisman nor being in the consideration of one.Kordell was 27-5 at Colorado with two top 10 finishes and #3 in the country in 94. Outside of ESPN hype, Colorado did nothing of note with Hunter and Sanders.
What a wild assertion.
Yeah I’m not buying that. You could have been 29-3 at Georgia. Colorado didn’t have anywhere near that level of talent.Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember Kordell ever winning the Heisman nor being in the consideration of one.
Watch how silly this sounds:
“Stetson Bennett was 29-3 at Georgia & won 2 National championships. Outside of ESPN Hype, Louisville did nothing of note with Lamar Jackson.”
Please tell me who was the better college player between Stetson Bennett & Lamar Jackson?
So why did Colorado have a better record from 89-91 than they did 92-94(the years Kordell was the starter)?Yeah I’m not buying that. You could have been 29-3 at Georgia. Colorado didn’t have anywhere near that level of talent.
Dude almost single-handedly put their program on the map. You could totally argue that Stewart was a better college player.
This is recency bias nonsense.
If Heisman consideration is the be all and end all, you have another Buffalo from the same team that won the Heisman, and only had his # retired after he died, 23 years after he won it.Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember Kordell ever winning the Heisman nor being in the consideration of one.

Sounds like an administrative problem. If Heisman consideration is the be all and end all, you have another Buffalo from the same team that won the Heisman, and only had his # retired after he died, 23 years after he won it.
Those real Colorado fans are most likely 50+ year olds who had an agenda against Sanders to begin with. Most real Colorado fans are disgusted by this, and I don't blame them. There are much more impactful and successful Buffaloes that haven't had their #'s retired. I think everyone knows why Sanders is having his # retired
Undoubtedly. Hard to imagine Deion had nothing to say about this.Sounds like an administrative problem.
I don't think this is just old heads, but I do think it's important to have the frame of reference of watching those old Colorado teams. They were certainly more competitive/memorable than this latest iteration, which is probably one of the most overhyped teams in history. Those real Colorado fans are most likely 50+ year olds who had an agenda against Sanders to begin with.
Hunter certainly deserves it far more than Sanders, but considering the precedent set by the administration for former greats, it still feels ridiculous. However, I will say this. I can understand being indifferent on Sanders getting his jersey retired, but being indifferent at Hunter’s being retired is straight up laughable.
I mean, yeah. It's not even a question. KS by a country mile.Yeah I’m not buying that. You could have been 29-3 at Georgia. Colorado didn’t have anywhere near that level of talent.

Because their team was better? Because the rest of the country wasn’t? Because of the tides? So why did Colorado have a better record from 89-91 than they did 92-94(the years Kordell was the starter)?
Sure, name one person from any of those teams without looking it up. Too late of course but I’m sure you get the point. Stewart was the best player that program had ever had up to that point.“Single-handidly put their program on the map” is hilarious considering they won the national championship before his arrival.
Because their team was better? Because the rest of the country wasn’t? Because of the tides?
I give up, why?
You don’t even know what point you’re trying to make. I still love how you said Kordell almost single-handily brought Colorado on the map.Sure, name one person from any of those teams without looking it up. I get it, you know who Stewart was, and nobody else. You don’t even know what point you’re trying to make. I still love how you said Kordell almost single-handily brought Colorado on the map.
News-flash, they won a national title before Kordell was on the team. They were already on the map my guy.
I also love how everyone else in here ignores how Kordell came onto a defending-championship team while Sanders & Hunter came onto a team that were in the dumps.
I get it though, nostalgia is hard to beat & we must hate the Sanders’ family & their confidence.
