Earlier games notwithstanding, today felt like his coming out party. Nice routes. Created separation. Caught tough passes in the middle of the field and contested passes. Made diving crucial plays for a TD and a crucial 3rd conversion. This is the MHJ I’ve been hoping to see. Expecting to see.

Whatever the adjustments, keep ‘em.
Caught with his hands, not his body too.

I’m as giddy as anybody about yesterday‘s performance, but we basically saw the same thing in the Rams game and then the next three or four games were duds… I’m hoping this becomes a trend.

To be fair, yesterday was a more consistent performance where he made plays all throughout the game. Against the rams he did it all in one quarter and had the one long TD that kind of skewed his stats a bit.

This felt different. Rams game was just a quarter of dominance and then disappeared. Here he kept showing up and was key on final drive.

It's obvious kyler adjusted his throws to Marv... can't body catch if the ball is five feet away... it's a good adjustment that may lead to some yac plays

yes it was clear that Kyler was throwing the ball up higher to him and a bit more away from him rather than putting it on the numbers.

the other thing as mentioned yesterday he was in the slot more I think he's able to get a better release out of the slot

My favorite Marv play of the whole game didn't even count. The play where Kyler on a designed run just flipped the ball to Marv for a first down but they called the C for being downfield early. He was about 3 yards downfield so probably a good call although watch a Chiefs or 49ers game and you see that all the time.

But I loved the reaction by Marv, he realized Kyler wasn't going to get the first down so he made himself available. Just a little thing but it showed he was fully engaged

I disagree. The scheme was completely different and this was against a talented secondary that didn’t have to cover for the running game giving up 9 yards Per run

Makes me think his issues have been all mental. He’s clearly capable of making spectacular hands catches.
And thank God for that.

Dude has raised the bar now. Beating the tar out of Jalen Ramsey was beautiful to see.

MHJ now has to do this week in and out as our WR1.
