Takes two to tango. But I think most top shelf names won’t be moved unless we are giving away the farm which I can’t see MO doing.

Ojulari, Hendrickson, and Z Smith are names to watch for.

I guess the major inference of the article was pass rushing, but I didn't read anything from the article that said the Cards were calling teams specifically for pass rush help. Unless the people mentioned in the article are specific to the Cards? I hope they are, though.

That is a fan generated article. All it is doing is referencing the actual article that was posted on The Athletic and was written by a real sports journalist. Everything else is the fans speculation.

Hopefully, we become a player destination. A place where players see a first-place team that needs to shore up some areas and they know they can come in and make a difference from day one. Great place to live, work, etc. Play for Gannon, be a teammate of Baker, Conner, etc. Let's go !!

Conner and Baker, both have contracts ending this year. I've been hearing national buzz about teams wanting them, now. I don't think Monti will bite, but I have no idea what they are offering, or if not traded, will some team offer more than we will pay? Teams have been known to offer crazy contracts to former Cards. Nah, we'll trade for an edge and get Darius back soon and all will be well in Glendale.

It's the new Cardinals. The times they are a-changin'.

Trade block

he would actually be cheap... 12m next season then contract voids after the super bowl in 2026...really cheap this season, about 1.5m
Most of Smith's salary is locked up in an $18M Signing bonus. The Browns have already paid that money and they are on the hook for it.

If Smith is traded he would only cost about $600k this season for the remaining 9 games of his 2024 base salary.

Next season he would only cost $1.5M plus a potential $2.5M of roster bonuses if the trading team decides to keep him on the roster. Or the team trading for him could just cut him at the end of this season and owe him nothing next year. The team he is traded to would not be on the hook for any of the void years as those would hit the Browns in 2025 as dead money.

roster bonus next year is 2m in March...then 510k per game...so about 11m total

$30K X 17 games = $510K total

I think that is where you are confusing the $510K bonus. That is the total for all 17 games.
